The Spring 2012 soccer season has come to an end. I hate to see it go because Dylan has so much fun out there and the boy is just good ;-) ...On the other hand I look forward to sleeping a little later on Saturdays and not having to get the whole fam up and around for those early morning games. :) Dylan and Brandon had another fantastic season. Dylan probably scored 50 or more goals, but who could keep track? And, Brandon is the best soccer coach out there. All the parents kept telling Brandon how much they appreciate him, and they even bought him a gift card worth $50 for a nice dinner. That says a lot!
I'll never forget Dylan rushing the field every time he heard me call out to Brandon, "That was 4 minutes!" That of course meant that it was time to switch out players and that Dylan could go back out on the field. If he could have it his way, he'd play the entire game. Which his Dad explained to him several times is not allowed. All kids get equal playing time. :)
Brandon has decided to sit out this fall as Coach, but he'll be back next spring. He could use a break considering soccer takes up 4 days of his week during Dylan's spring and fall seasons. (Brandon also plays in a men's league on Wednesdays and Sundays.) All the kids came over to our house this past weekend for a pizza party to close out the season. They had a blast, and hopefully we'll see some of them again this fall or next spring when Brandon is back to coach!
