We left Dylan asleep in our bed and his Mimi came over and stayed with him until he was up and ready to head to the hospital and wait on his baby sister to arrive.
They started my pitocin pretty soon after we arrived, but I was already having some contractions on my own without the medicine. The doctor broke my water at 8am, and from there things started happening fast. They eventually turned off the pitocin because my contractions were coming too fast. I got my epidural at about 9:30am - and I was dilated to 5 - thank goodness for modern medicine! Everything seemed to happen so fast after that, and at 11:59am Avery Leigh was born. She is beautiful!!
